What was the change in mass of the tree?

The original mass was after 5 years weighed 169 pounds however after drying the earth in the vessel. It weighed  164 pounds of wood, bark and roots.

Davids Arguement is that texting is ruining the English language. “As a new variety of language, texting has been condemned as textes, slanguage, a digital virus”. It is clear just by this quote he feels that technology is having a negative impact on literacy and language. “It marks dyslexia, poor spelling and mental laziness”. This quote is violating the fact that dyslexic people don’t have the knowledge or the same ability as someone else and is also mocking their use of spelling and sentence structures.

Habituation is a form of learning in which an organism decreases or ceases to respond to a stimulus after repeated presentations. Essentially, the organism learns to stop responding to a stimulus which is no longer biologically relevant.

In this experiment the stimulus is the physical touch.

It was a just a Monday night in January. Lots was on my mind. School, Rugby, GCSEs, the usual. I had just finished eating dinner, spaghetti to be precise. It was already pretty late so I went upstairs to lye on my bed and chill. I felt myself drifting off. Before I knew it I was on a deep sleep.  The past few days I haven’t been feeling myself. I wasn’t sure if it was the stress or if I was getting sick, whatever it was, it was really bothering me. I dont know how long I was asleep before the dream started but I had never been so scared and confused in the whole 15 years I have been on this planet. Well it started like this…

Sunday, it was the big game. Finals. Everyone was counting on us to bring back the W. We were favourites. We started off strong with 3 tries within 20 minutes. Halftime struck and the score was 25-22. The conditions were effecting us massively. The rain was progressively getting harder, the pitch getting more waterlogged and the ball was getting slippery. It was the last play of the game. I wasn’t nervous, to be honest I was pretty confident in us. We had the capability and skill to win. 30 seconds left to play the score was 46-46. We were in their half. 2 metres away from their line. Their defence was holding off well. We were all drenched I water. The ball spins towards me. I dropped the ball and followed my foot through for the 3 points to win the game. It was like everything was in slow motion

My eyes opened quickly, it was pitch black, I couldn’t see anything. My heart was beating vigorously, I was sweating all over, my head was pounding. It felt like someone was knocking at my head trying to get in. I reached for my phone,the light blinded me, it was like I was staring into heaven. It was 3:00am. I went back to sleep hoping I would never have to go through what I had just experienced. I was out within 2 seconds.

In Act one scene two the Sooth Slayer warns Caesar about the ides of March. This is a vague warning so Caesar thinks it’s a joke and doesn’t take it to heart. We know that Caesar is going to die but we don’t know how. This is fate becuase what happens on the 15th March can’t be changed in any way. Dramatic irony is present, this is because The audience knows something that the characters in the play don’t. An example of dramatic irony is in Act 1 Scene 3 Casius says “Well,Brutus,thou art noble; yet I see Thy honourable metal may be wrought”. Another sign is when Caesar’s wife, Calpurnia’s, has bad omens and has a vision that Caesar will die. This time Caesar listened and said he won’t go to the cenate. Caesar says he will explain to Decius and the Conspirators that he will not attend the cenate because he is sick. In Calpurnia’s dream she sees graves yawning, and yielding up their dead fiery warriors upon the clouds and ghosts shrieking about the streets. Caesar was later persuaded by Decius to travel to the cenate. Decius did this by saying to Caesar  he will be spoken about and despised being called afraid Caesar. Caesar eventually made an appearance. This is Caesars fate because if Decius didn’t convince Caesar to travel to the cenate then his death wouldn’t occur.
Fate is also shown in the scene of Caesars death. The Sooth Slayer warned him about this day and it had arrived. It was unavoidable and as the audience we knew his life would end their.

Friday night college basketball. The finals, Louisville vs Clemson Tigers. Louisville were the favourites dominating throughout the whole season. However that night everything changed for the worse.

It was the 2nd quarter, Louisville up by 1. Thornton, playing for Duke, was on the edge of the 3 point line. He jumped up bravely hoping to make the shot. All of a sudden Kevin Ware made the attempt to block the shot however didn’t make it. Out of no where the was a loud cry filling the whole arena with confusion and fright. Kevin Ware lying on the sideline. Everyone was in disbelief. The crowd didn’t know what they were witnessing.
